Powering Alberta’s Clean Energy Future

Buffalo Plains Wind Farm is a 495 MW electricity generating facility on 17,500 acres of privately owned farmland near Lomond, Alberta. It is owned and operated by CIP (Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners), through its CI IV Flagship Fund.

The facility produces electricity using 83 wind turbine generators and benefits the community through job creation, lease and property tax payments, and local community initiatives.
